The SaltWater World

Water Sports
Water Skiing and Wakeboarding are always a fun time around the Cape.  Freshwater and Saltwater alike there are hundreds of places to get pulled around.  Because this is the SaltwaterWorld we will focus on those areas that are composed primarily of NaCl H2O.

On a calm day there is no better place than Cape Cod Bay to escape some crowds and get in a good ski.  Little Pleasant Bay can be a good bet during the week.  Even Town Cove in Orleans can make for a good ski spot especially on a gusty day if you are trying to find some protected areas.  Town Cove may be a little busy during the weekends so be sure to always have a spotter and if you are going slalom drop the ski along the shoreline.

BEACHIN' IT?

THE TOP BEACHES ON THE LOWER CAPE...................

1) NAUSET BEACH - Whether you are driving to the 'Outer' or just hanging at 'Public' Nauset Beach has what you need.  With Liams food shack you won't go hungry here; Hint: Get some onion rings!  There is also some pretty good surfing here.  Pick your days right and find the right break and you could be in for a treat.  Don't underestimate the East Coast swell....just be patient.

2) THE BEACHCOMBER BEACH (or Cahoon Hollow Beach) - What makes this a great beach?  If you have to ask that question just don't show up!  The Beachcomber has long been one of the most famous bars on Cape Cod.  You will understand why before you even step through the front door.

3) CHATHAM LIGHT - Although there has been a new rule implemented over the winter which prevents swimming at Chatham Light, I have too many good memories here to leave it off the list!  This is still a great place to get out the Vollyball net and get a game in!

Water powered jetpacks can be a good way to break the manotony.  Of course thats if you have the $200,000 to buy one.
